For the last 10 months, we've had the idea of a merch shop brewing — and it's been on the minds of our readers, too. We were surprised (and flattered) that folks started asking for physical products with our logo on them soon after we launched. But we wanted to make sure our shop was as exciting and quality as the work we publish here every day, so we took our time selecting and sampling products we hope you'll love.

In addition to T-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and hats with the Mothership logo on them, we wanted to offer something truly special. Enter our "limited drop" section on the shop, which currently features tees and prints of an original design by illustrator Sonny Ross. Within a few emails, Sonny understood the assignment: create something Mothershippy, queer, gamer-coded, purple! The design depicts the body of a gamer floating upward into a spaceship, their controller not far behind them, with the phrase "the feminine urge to drift off to space" in Sonny's distinct penmanship. We hope you love it as much as we do.
Sonny's design is available for one month only, as will be the case for our future limited drops, too. That's because we want to create space to feature lots of visual artists, who are just as important to the games community as writers are. We've already got our next design underway!
Elsewhere in the shop, you'll find what we think are fair prices and the most inclusive sizing available via our vendor. We also made sure to use the best printing methods for longevity and color saturation so our Mothership shade of purple pops.
We can't wait to see this merch on our beautiful readers. When you receive yours, we'd love to hear about your shopping experience (and see pics of you in your stuff!).
Thanks as always for the unending support. Enjoy!
