Sadie Adler is the unsung hero of Red Dead Redemption 2

Sadie Adler wears a cowboy hat and a neckscarf. Text reads "Look, you're the only one of these fools that I trust."

In the wild west, don’t trust a man to do a woman’s job — especially if that woman is Sadie Adler.

Much of Red Dead Redemption 2 focuses on good men making bad choices and bad men making heinous choices. Yet, it’s an NPC woman who has the most significant arc over the course of the game. Sadie begins as a once-happy farmwife, becomes a depressed and bitter widow, then evolves into a savvy, inspired gunwoman.
